Doctor Who: 10 Things You Never Knew About Series 7 Of NuWho

Tidbits of trivia about Matt Smith's final series.

Series 7 was the swansong of the Eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith. Over the course of three years, fans had grown accustomed to the Doctor being a man who thought bow ties, Fezzes and Stetsons (and... well, just about any hat!) are cool, as well as being physically unable to speak without moving around like he has difficulty controlling where his hands go. This Doctor, in particular, was one who let his emotions get the better of him, more often than many of his previous incarnations, and never more so than in Series 7. While this could be chalked up to Mr Smith's knowledge that it was his final year as the titular Time Lord, it was also, as far as fans knew, one of the final incarnations of the Doctor. At the time it was unknown if the metacrisis Doctor even counted as a regeneration, plus viewers were still under the assumption that either the Eighth or Ninth Doctor had directly participated in the Last Great Time War. How wrong they were... During this final year, the Doctor suffered tremendous loss, gained a new lifelong friend (while at the same time, a new mystery to unravel), experienced fear at his own end and finally had a new beginning. Each series of Doctor Who brings with it things that viewers may not have realised about the show and without adventuring onto the internet to discover them, it may take repeated viewings (not that that is ever a bad thing!) to spot them for yourself. That said, here are 10 things you might not have known about Series 7 of NuWho.
