Doctor Who: 10 Throwaway Lines That Would've Made Great Episodes
9. "I Came First In Jiggery Pokery"
The Ninth Doctor says this to Rose Tyler as he fixes her phone to call across five billion years in The End of The World. Knowing that the Doctor failed his final exam at Time Lord Academy, this is probably all he did well in at all. Its that which could make an episode set in the Doctors school days interesting. The Doctor could be portrayed as somebody who just wants to go and explore, who only cares about the lessons which could help him create phones for across the universe and such. You know, things that would actually help him. Although it could also include elements of the book Lungbarrow, which is set on Gallifrey and contains an entire series of things about the Doctors past and family that somewhat destroy continuity. One of them is that Time Lords are made by weaving genetic material into giant looms. The Doctor could try to stop his Jiggery Pokery teacher from tampering with the looms to create a master race in his image. It could be his first attempt to save a planet and show him that he could do it, and show him that it was absolutely brilliant to do.
