Doctor Who: 10 Times Captain Jack Died And Lived To Tell The Tale

4. Pushed Off A Rooftop

After helping to save the world from the Master (cheers for that, by the way!), it was high time for Jack to return to his very own spin off and his triumphant comeback was met with delight from his fellow team members who had all been scratching their heads wondering where the hell he'd got to since he disappeared unexpectedly at the end of the last series. He had been travelling with the Doctor, of course, but his experiences during the fateful Year That Never Was were nothing compared to the trials that were to come. The Series 2 premiere episode, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, proved to be particularly eventful for the leading Captain when he was reunited with his old flame John Hart who wanted to vigorously kiss and kill him in equal measure. Talk about a rocky relationship! Time Agents are notorious for taking things to the extreme and John was no exception. If they weren't flirting with each other to death then they were just basically just trying write each other off and John managed to beat Jack to the post when he mercilessly pushed him off a rooftop. As the picture above shows, Jack found himself in somewhat of an incomprehensible position when he landed on a bench (ouch!) but John was in for a shock when it transpired that this was one former Time Agent for whom death is just not an option. That wasn't going to stop him, though...
