Doctor Who: 10 Truly Heroic Moments From NuWho Companions

4. Amy Pond, "The Wedding of River Song"

nuwho-amy2 The sixth season of the show had been somewhat divisive in nature but it did produce plenty of cool, standout moments and some cracking episodes such as the team-up and arc-resolution adventure 'A Good Man Goes To War' and the impressive opening two-parter involving the menacing Silence. Best of all in terms of kick-ass moments is Alterna-Amy taking Madame Kovarian down to size during an assault by the Silence - for robbing Amy of the experiences of her daughter growing up, Amy kills her with Kovarian's own device, electrocuting her and leaving her to die at her former masters' hands. While Old Amy in 'The Girl Who Waited' is a badass with a sword, we're more impressed with this one where she's fuelled by rage and a mother's pain, making her damn near unstoppable and a force to be reckoned with.
