1. Around The World In 365 Days
Because how many other Doctor Who companions can claim to have single handedly walked the entire Earth?! Seriously. Give the girl a medal. Oh, and a foot massage. The Master (back in the time when he was still a 'he') returned in the Series 3 finale and there was seemingly no end in sight for his malevolent reign of terror when he hypnotised the British public into electing him as their new Prime Minister before using his army of Toclafane to enslave the entire human race. It all escalated very quickly. And just where was the Tenth Doctor in planet Earth's time of great need, you ask? Well, he'd been aged to the point of no return and was far too busy moping around in a cage looking like a creepy miniature version of Gollom, of course, so the task of saving the world fell into the more than capable hands of his companion who had up until this point, in the eyes of our titular Time Lord, only been around to reaffirm how much she wasn't Rose. All of that changed, though, when Martha returned the world to its former glory and she had well and truly earned her title as one of the show's most formidable on screen forces to be reckoned with. Her act of unrivalled heroism has been wiped from existence along with the rest of The Year That Never Was but Martha herself will be eternally remembered as The Companion Who Certainly Was... And Then Some. All hail, Dr Jones! What did you think of this list? Are there any other defining Martha Jones moments that should've been included? Share 'em in the comments section below!
