Doctor Who: 10 Worst Things The Eleventh Doctor Has Ever Done

Eleven's first Christmas outing saw him tangle with Kazran Sardick, a bitter old man who controlled a cloud belt that had ensnared a space liner. The Doctor tries to convince him to release the ship, but Kazran tells him to 'eff off.

Taking a leaf out of Charles Dickens' book, the Doctor travels back to Kazran's past to make him a nicer person in the future. This involves him orchestrating a romance between Kazran and Abigail, a beautiful woman kept in cryogenic storage.

This doesn't sound too bad, until you realise that Abigail is terminally ill.

The Doctor and Kazran visit Abigail across multiple Christmas Eves, always placing her back in stasis at the end of the day. But her time is limited. She helps save the ship, but Kazran now has to choose one final day to spend with his beloved, and thanks to the Doctor, he has to live with the trauma of losing essentially his soulmate.

The old saying might go "It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all", but you try telling that to an angry Albus Dumbledore on Christmas Day.
