Doctor Who: 10 Worst Things The Master Has Ever Done

7. Turning The Entire Human Race Into Himself

John Simm's Master was quite unhinged during his first appearance in Series 3, but by the time Series 4 rolled around, he'd somehow got even crazier.

After being brought back from the dead in an explosive ritual, the Master had bright blonde hair, would occasionally turn into a blue skeleton, and enjoyed speed-eating cheeseburgers while ranting about the deliciousness of fatty foods, before rubbing the greasy burger wrapper all over his face.

"Lunatic" is an understatement.

Fittingly, his unparalleled insanity bled directly into his next evil scheme, where he used an Immortality Gate to turn every single human on Earth (besides Donna and Wilf) into a duplicate of himself. This meant that the Master became the President, the Prime Minister, the Queen, Ant and Dec, Wayne Rooney, Beyoncé - you name it.

On the plus side, none of the original humans were harmed, and this so-called "Master Race" was quickly reversed by Rassilon in the very next episode. But given more time, the Master could've caused untold amounts of damage with the Earth in his control.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
