Doctor Who: 10 Worst Things The Master Has Ever Done

6. Converting Dead Humans Into Cybermen

The Series 8 finale was an incredibly dark story. As well as sending Clara and the Doctor on a mission into hell, it also revealed that people who have passed away are capable of feeling pain, with the line "don't cremate me" standing tall as one of the most chilling moments in the entirety of Doctor Who.

This grim tone was also present within Missy's plan, which involved the newly-minted female Master working with the Cybermen to spread Cyber-pollen across the Earth.

These particles rained from the sky like water droplets, infiltrating graveyards and morgues, infecting corpses, and ultimately, converting the dead into a Cyberman army.

Of course, Missy's antics were eventually stopped, but her willingness to disrespect the dead by pulling them from their peaceful slumber and stuffing them inside a metal suit was extremely sadistic, even by the Master's standards.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
