6. The Night Sequence Was Tony Curran's First Day On Set

Now, Curran isn't exactly the speediest of tweeters so his comments didn't always line up with the on-screen action, but around the same time Vincent makes his "I love you" comment to Amy, the actor stated that this was "the first day" on set.

He didn't specify if it was also Smith and Gillan's first day too (they both have a lot of scenes in this episode without Curran, so they may have shot some of those already), but regardless, this sequence was recorded early on in the production schedule.

As we're about to discuss in the next entry, the majority of this night-time sequence was filmed in Wales, so it makes sense that the production would begin shooting the episode on home turf first, and then move onto the overseas locations second.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
