3. The Tenth Doctor's Theme
http://youtu.be/I9wEj0_3WNA Although he may repeatedly deny it, the Doctor is a valiant hero. Everyone relies on him to solve the incomprehensible puzzles, take command and remain logical in the midst of a calamity. The Tenth Doctor probably exemplified these traits the most out of all thirteen, intently examining strange specimens, babbling off technological nonsense and shouting Oh, yes! with a dramatic flair. He was definitely the most erratic and intense of them all, anyway. One moment a teasing smile and humorous remark would be exchanged between him and Rose. The next, a curmudgeon Doctor would condemn whatever unfortunate enemy violated his strict moral codes. Anyone would agree that an angry Tenth Doctor is a rather frightening sight to behold... Basically, the Tenth Doctor is never subtle in his wrath, despondency or exuberance. And neither is his theme. At first, a barely discernible choir hums a mournful chant. Then, all at once, the music erupts into a victorious sound, tinged with sadness and regret. Unlike his successor, this Doctor remembers every single child murdered on that one terrible day when the Time War ended, but no one won. However, the Doctor must continue forward with time, in whatever order that may be. And as the music forges ahead, there is a battle between his guilt and resolve. Then, the song reaches a heart wrenching peak but ends all too soon. It lingers on the final note, as the Tenth Doctor clung to his last breath. He didnt want to go...
