Yes, there're a couple of people out there still not sold on him but the general consensus is that Matt Smith takes his place among the greatest Doctors of the show - Tom Baker, David Tennant, Patrick Troughton and Matt Smith. It is true that the current Doctor usually ranks highest in 'Best Doctor Polls' (even Sylvester McCoy won one once) but the book keepers' best bets would be to assume that Matt Smith will remain high on these polls for years to come. He just gets the part. Not only proving himself to have a wise Doctor, though a little scatty at times he proves he can do the childish side, the sad side and still portray the ancient old man who's lost everything with ease and style. Matt has instant chemistry with anyone on screen meaning that he has collected a seriously impressive roster of companions who work so well with him that hey've had to come back time and time again. Amy Pond, Rory Williams, River Song, Jenny, Vastra, Strax, Craig, Kazran Sardick, Abigail, Clara, Canton Everett Delaware III even those two kids we'd rather forget about. Its a true testament to his welcoming nature, passion and class that he still stands above this crowd of regulars as our Doctor. Ancient, Innocent, Unforgettable Eleven.
