From the release of the initial preview videos onward we got to see that Matt's childish adoration for the show was not just an act put on for the cameras. Many memorable moments featuring Matt clowning around on set emerged in confidential and in those YouTube videos you can always find with titles like 'MATT SMITH IS SUPER CUTE ON SET WITH KAREN GILLAN. RATE, COMMENT, LIKE DESCRIBE'.

It is clear to see that he has an absolute blast making the show that he has come to love and brought that passion to his zany Doctor on screen.

Particular highlights from the Matt Smith back cataloge include his interview with Karen Gillan held late in the production of his first series. They make jokes and flirt and a good time is had by all.
