Doctor Who: 11 Worst Costume Disasters Of All Time
What were they thinking?
In a visual medium, costumes are an integral part of any show which separates the fan made film with an ill-fitting Oxfam reject shop brown-ish leather jacket from Indiana Jones himself. With the funds to properly plug into the show, it can be properly realised and seem completely bought to life and immersive and you believe it a bit more when he punches a Nazi in a proper helmet rather than a washing up bowl with a nail stabbed through it. However, Doctor Who is not known for its budget. Well, it is in a way, in that its known for its complete lack of one. However, the ingenuity of the production team means that there are many times that you just dont notice. Even bubble wrap is made scary. So is foam... twice. But then there are the times that the production team failed, and as is always the case with Doctor Who, failure means the all-consuming and hilarious destruction of any dignity the participants had. There is never middle ground. So as a result, only the 11 worst costumes are difficult to pick out but, after much deliberation, here they are. Imagine a pick and mix cabinet which stretches for fifteen miles and you get the picture of how vast this sea of failure actually is...
