Doctor Who: 12 Big Questions About Ashildr's Episodes

3. Are We Going To Revisit Another Familiar Immortal?

Captain Jack
BBC
Fans of a certain Captain Jack Harkness would not have failed to notice the Doctor mentioning him in his conversation with Ashildr at the end of The Woman Who Died. €œHe€™ll get to you eventually.€ he tells her, suggesting that a meet up of these two immortals is one the cards at some point. And thanks to the picture on Clara's phone at the episode's end, we know though both end up in the same time period. Does the mention of Jack mean that a return of this character is on the cards. Steven Moffat wanted John Barrowman to return in series six's / 32's A Good Man Goes To War but his schedule on Torchwood: Miracle Day clashed. And since then Barrowman has expressed interest in returning to Doctor Who? Jack meeting Ashildr (and maybe Sam) could be fun. Oh and there's always the other immortal Rex Matheson from the last Torchwood series, but considering the criticism that series got, I wouldn't expect to see him again in the Doctor Who universe...
