One thing was very evident in Deep Breath: Steven Moffat is setting up for the Twelfth Doctor to put the Who back in Doctor Who. From the Doctor's confusion as to why he chose this particular face to his question of "Am I a good man?", it's evident that not even the Doctor is sure who he is anymore. He criticized Half-Face Man for replacing different parts of himself so many times that nothing of the original droid was left, but he realized that his criticism of Half-Face Man also applied to himselfhe can't even remember where he got his face. Rarely have we seen the Doctor questioning his own identity like this. Oh, he's done it before in a cheeky manner (like in The Christmas Invasion), but this time he's more serious about it. We're used to the companions asking, "Doctor who?" Now the Doctor himself is asking that question. What are your thoughts on the Twelfth Doctor? Have you fallen in love with him, or do you find yourself missing Matt Smith more and more? Let us know in the comments!
