Doctor Who: 12 Things You Need To Know About Series 9

2. Clara's Comeback

Well, you didn't think the Doctor was going to get rid of her that easily, did you? Clara Oswald parted ways with the titular Time Lord at the end of the last series and it really looked like she was gone for good this time. She returned once again during the Christmas Special, though, and stepped back aboard the TARDIS for adventures anew at the end of it. It looks like it's only just beginning for our impossible girl but what trials and tribulations lie ahead for her in Series 9? Well, it's been confirmed that Jenna Coleman will coming along for the whole ride (unless they're lying, of course - there really is no way of telling these days!) and the actress herself is just as excited about the prospect of embarking on a brand new set of escapades as Clara's legion of dedicated crusaders (not so much her non-fans, but haters gon' hate!). According to Jenna, Clara is now more comfortable than ever with the Doctor which obviously means that her entire life is about to be turned upside down. It wouldn't make for good TV if it was all a case of happily ever after now, would it? She's also addicted to life in the TARDIS, too, which doesn't bode all that well when you take the fact she's going to have to leave eventually into consideration. If she won't depart by choice, how will she? A worrying thought (once again, not so much for her non-fans!), but let's not get ahead of ourselves. For now, take comfort in the fact that Clara Oswald has lived to fight another day. After all her deliberation in Series 8, it better be bloody worth it. So, that's pretty much everything that's been confirmed about Series 9 thus far, but there's still one thing that, while impossible to predict, is pretty much already a given. Any guesses?
