Doctor Who's Series 3 finale - spread across the episodes The Sound Of Drums and Last Of The Time Lords - is a bit of a weird one.
On the one hand, it's a refreshing change of energy after the finales to Series 1 and Series 2, which were both big Dalek action movies. But on the other, turning the Doctor into a levitating wizard because everyone around the world says his name at the same time is a little bit silly - even for this show.
But regardless of that questionable moment, the whole thing is a pacy, funny, uplifting, and tear-jerking two-parter, with John Simm's crazy performance as the Master, the shocking revelation about the Toclafane, and the chemistry between one of the most underrated TARDIS crews ever (the Doctor, Captain Jack Harkness, and Martha Jones) all making the story a highly entertaining one to rewatch.
Fittingly then, Last Of The Time Lords also has a highly entertaining commentary. With actors David Tennant, John Barrowman, and Freema Agyeman having a right old laugh from start to end, it's a blast to listen to, and as an added bonus, there are also lots of cool details and behind-the-scenes stories revealed along the way...
