Clearly, Moran got a kick out of sticking "ius" onto the end of ordinary words for a quick and easy joke. Remember "Pompous Gittius" and "Biggius Mouthius" that we just mentioned? That wasn't the only time he tried this trick.

During the watch-along, Moran revealed that the episode used to have a subplot about fountain water turning into acid, after mixing with volcanic gases. To somewhat remedy this issue, the Doctor would've asked a random kid to paint an "out of order" sign on the fountains. And the kid's name? Banksius.

No prizes for understanding that reference.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
