John Simm's Master goes full-on lunatic in The End Of Time. Impressively, he's even crazier here than he was at the end of Series 3, which is quite a feat.

This is because he's been brought back from the dead in a dodgy ritual, which has given him superhuman powers, bright blonde hair, and an insatiable appetite, leading to a scene where he scoffs down a sizable burger in seconds, proceeding to lick the wrapper clean when he's finished. Yummy.

He certainly loves his food in this episode (there's a later scene where he absolutely destroys a big turkey), and according to Lyn, we came close to getting an extra scene of the Master at meal-time - but here, he wouldn't have been eating normal stuff.

Rather, the director notes that he cut a scene where the Master eats a tramp's coat, while "sucking all the juices" out of it. It's pretty clear why he removed this (it sounds disgusting), but honestly, this would've been hilarious to see in the episode.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
