David Tennant doesn't appear until 20 minutes into the story, with his introductory scene revolving around the Tenth Doctor's relationship with Queen Elizabeth I. Oh, and he's also hunting down a Zygon - because this man never stops working!

According to Moffat, this scene was also Tennant's first day on set, with the actor donning his iconic costume for the first time in roughly four years. Just imagine being present for that moment - the entire crew probably had goosebumps.

This was such a memorable day on set that producer Marcus Wilson mused that it was like "live archive footage". Truly, it must've been both bizarre and brilliant to have Tennant back playing the character again.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
