It would've been extremely disappointing if David Tennant's grand return to Doctor Who didn't also feature an appearance from his TARDIS, but thankfully, The Day Of The Doctor was able to oblige in that regard.

On the downside, it isn't onscreen for very long, but there were some real-world complications that prevented the crew from using it in a few more scenes.

Moffat tweeted that Tennant's TARDIS was a part of the Doctor Who Experience, which is where they got it from while filming the episode. But because the Experience needed it back, the production was only able to utilise it for half a day.

As a result, Moffat scripted in the idea of Tennant's grungy golden TARDIS reverting back to the colder yet more colourful Matt Smith version.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
