Doctor Who 2005 Cast: Where Are They Now?

13. Eve Myles

Doctor Who The Unquiet Dead Eve Myles Gwyneth
BBC

Portraying the supernaturally-sensitive Gwyneth, Eve Myles appeared alongside Simon Callow in The Unquiet Dead, her only appearance in the 2005 series.

However, one year later, she returned to the Whoniverse in spinoff series Torchwood, playing lead character Gwen Cooper, a descendant of Gwyneth. Torchwood ran for four seasons between 2006 and 2011, and during that time, Myles crossed back into Doctor Who for the Series 4 finale - once again playing Gwen - in 2008.

She later appeared in Merlin and Broadchurch (the latter of which starred David Tennant, and was written by current Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall), while also reprising the role of Gwen for Big Finish's Torchwood audio dramas in 2015.

Myles can currently be seen in the Welsh thriller series Keeping Faith on BBC iPlayer, and for all you social media addicts out there, she's extremely active on Twitter!

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
