Doctor Who 2005 Cast: Where Are They Now?

12. Florence Hoath

Florence Hoath only has a single Doctor Who credit to her name, but luckily for her, it's one of the finest stories in the entire show.

Series 1's The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances is a classic for many reasons - chiefly, the iconic and quite terrifying gas mask zombies - and Hoath's confident performance as Nancy only elevates it, with her character going on one hell of an emotional rollercoaster over the course of the two episodes.

However, despite her clear talent, Hoath is no longer acting.

She does have other credits aside from Doctor Who - Agatha Christie's Marple, Doctors, and the 2008 mini-series Lost In Austen, where she starred alongside River Song actress Alex Kingston - but she hasn't appeared onscreen in over a decade.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
