The 4th, 7th and 11th Doctors all can look to #2 for some aspect of "their" Doctors. Tom Baker's Jelly Babes? Troughton was pushing them on companions, irate officials and alien creatures first. Sylvester McCoy's scheming, manipulative Doctor? Troughton was playing dumb, manipulating companions and tricking monsters into killing themselves first. Matt Smith's bumbling, silly, manipulative schemer with a love of hats? Troughton did it first. The Sonic Screwdriver, using the alias John Smith, the Brigadier and Unit all also debuted during the 2nd Doctor's tenure.
