Doctor Who: 5 Awesome Things Peter Capaldi Is Bringing To 12th Doctor

1. Behind The Camera Genius

Many of the articles that I read before the announcement of the New Doctor referred to Capaldi as an Academy Award winner. I had to go look it up. He won an Oscar for his directing of "Franz Kafka's It's A Wonderful Life," a "short" at only 82 minutes. If you haven't seen this, seriously, go and find it. You can watch it on Amazon Prime Instant Video for free. The title is absurd and the premise goes along the lines of Shakespeare in Love, but it made me laugh until my stomach hurt. (Spoiler. At one point, we see a very horrified-looking kangaroo and are relieved when cockroaches take their turn.) And Peter Capaldi was the director behind it. With that to his credit, I would really like to see him take on the directorial role for an episode of Doctor Who. I would like to see him direct with John Moran, the author of "The Fires of Pompeii" as the writer. There are so many things that I can look forward to that I'll have to cut myself off now before I lose track of myself and write one hundred thousand words.
