5. Matt Smith Series 2012 Theme
This theme sequence seems to be debatable amongst the fans. There are the ones who absolutely hate it, and then the ones, more than half, that love it. Used for the Christmas Special in 2012, the new sequence for series 7, is an improvement. Not only an improvement, but one can hear the 80s themes being recognized in a way in this one. And the biggest deal of all...the face is back. This theme sequence is much colorful compared to the last two seasons. It could be Moffat and crew decided to bring back the face because of the 50th anniversary. But then again, people have been asking for the face to come back for years now. The newer theme sequence feels like Doctor Who again when it has the elements of the older theme sequences in it.
