1. Melanie "Mel" Bush (1986-1987)
Okay, I really have no idea what this woman was for. She somehow was companion for
two Doctors, despite being easily the worst companion of the whole series. She has the screaming of Peri (#5), the uselessness of K-9 (#4), the annoyingness of Adric (#3), and the same range of acting skills as Kamelion (#2). I'm really struggling to find something else to say about Mel, but all I get is headaches as I remember "Paradise Towers" and "Dragonfire". Okay, enough negativity! On to the five BEST companions ever! And hopefully they won't all be from the 80's like the above 5....
