Doctor Who: 5 Reasons Why Peter Capaldi Will Be Brilliant As The 12th Doctor

2. He's Scottish!

scottish-flag-600x300 Ever since David Tennant wasn't allowed to use his natural Scottish accent for the show (something about coming on the heels of Northerner Chris Eccleston, they didn't want it to see like they were doing a tour of the regions), I've really wanted there to be a Scottish Doctor. This is an entirely shallow opinion, but I have a soft spot in my heart for a Glaswegian accent. Hopefully they've learned from the past, and Capaldi will be able to use his natural accent. Because I've appreciate the direction that they've gone in with the past few Doctors which allows for a little bit more variety. Maybe next time they might even have an Irish Doctor. There's a Who fan for you, this Doctor's just been announced and already thinking about the next one!
