Doctor Who: 5 Reasons Why River Song Deserves A Spin-Off

1. Hell In High-Heels

River Regenerate

River Song's character going off on her own to create havoc or save world/s, and most of the time both, to look for Doctor-related artifacts/histories, would of course be an interesting theme in a normal fast-paced River-centric episode. Much like The Angels Take Manhattan, she goes off on her own to investigate suspicious activities and ends up getting help from the then-current Doctor-companions trio, the latter just happens to be her parents. The possibility of a Nine- or Ten-Companion adventures may not be a good call on this, for continuity, but some timey-wimey Moffatt hocus-pocus could make anything possible. With the use of her Pond cheek, Williams Centurion determination, and Timelord (lady?) recklessness what could go wrong? The answer being, most probably (hopefully) at least five things. If that isn't a good recipe for a spin-off Whoniverse TV Show (or maybe just some more minisodes?) then I'm a pink glittery Dalek.

River Ten

There may be more cons than pros with suggesting a TV Show of the lone surviving, half-timelord, Pond (as fans would most likely agree with by contradicting this post) but her uniquely timey-wimey character definitely deserves at least 5 reasons for a spin-off TV show all on her own -- with more than a couple of Doctor appearances, of course! Albeit not a full 50-minute per episode show, that Doctor Who is mostly consisted of, but definitely a well-deserved deeper story-telling in the future. If not, then maybe a TV movie?
