Doctor Who 50th Anniversary: 3 Possibilities For Ten And Rose's Return

2. The Doctor's Time Stream

ten-rose-2

The Doctor followed Clara into his own time stream at the end of The Name of the Doctor, where we saw all of his previous regenerations - including John Hurt€™s Mystery Doctor. Perhaps this would explain how both the Tenth and Mystery Doctors are involved in an adventure in the 50th Anniversary. If Eleven could interact with the Mystery Doctor than it is likely that he could interact with the Tenth Doctor as well. Of course, paradoxes are a very big deal on Doctor Who €“ however, the fact that the Doctor even jumped into his own time stream is perhaps a large enough paradox in itself that three Doctors interacting with each other may become a moot point.

One thing I truly wonder about though, is how on Earth they get out of the cave-like space that they€™re in at the end of the episode? It seems doubtful that a Tardis will just appear, yet it is also unlikely that there€™s a door they can just walk right out of! Nonetheless, as much as it baffles me, I imagine Steven Moffat already has this figured out, as there would not be much of an episode if everyone were stuck in a cave, am-I-right?

This theory appears to be plausible in the world of Doctor Who €“ except one small detail: where is Rose!? If Rose will be appearing in this episode, I can€™t imagine she is also in the Doctor€™s time stream. I don€™t know about you, but it just throws the whole thing off for me. Everything else about this theory makes a fair amount of sense (as far as Doctor Who goes) but this is just beyond puzzling. There would be no logical justification of Rose Tyler being a guest in this episode and that is just unacceptable!

Jaime hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
