Doctor Who 60th Anniversary: Predicting Chances Of Every Doctor Returning
9. The Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker)
Colin Baker's Sixth Doctor would be one of the most fascinating picks for a 60th return.
As one of the least-popular Doctors on the roster, it would be incredibly interesting to watch fans react to his appearance, and with a genius writer like RTD in his corner, there's a good chance that the perception of Baker's Doctor could shift more towards the positive, similar to how Spider-Man: No Way Home made everyone realise how great Andrew Garfield was as the web-slinger.
That said, with the Sixth Doctor's era marking one of the most controversial periods in Doctor Who history, he isn't exactly the easy choice.
Though many are of the mind that he's been "redeemed" by his huge catalogue of Big Finish audio dramas, Baker will forever carry the baggage of the show's tumultuous mid-80s run, and at a time when Doctor Who is in desperate need of some reinvigoration, kicking off the RTD2 era with the one Doctor who actually got fired would be a very bad omen.
We initially had Baker as a 1/10, but we gave him an extra point because of that aforementioned redemption angle, and another extra point because he recently worked with RTD on a Big Finish audio drama called Mind Of The Hodiac.
Chances: 3/10.
