1. Nicolas Cage
Alright, can we please put this thing to rest? I'll admit, the idea of Nic as The Doctor is incredibly entertaining and funny, but that's it! The problem is that the best way to imagine a Cage Doctor is one who's quirky yet unstable, humorous yet frightening at times among other radical traits. In other words, we might as well rename the show "Sixth Doctor: The Next Generation," and we ALL remember how that ended. But I'm a bit harsh on Cage in that last blurb; he's an incredible and capable actor, but the double edged sword to this fact: he's also an A-lister movie star. Even in the event he were offered an audition, would he take it? Would he make the step down from the silver screen to the small screen, considered by most to be a high risk and relatively low reward investment? Some get lucky, such as Charlie Sheen while he lasted on Two & a Half Men and, more recently, Kevin Bacon for his turn on The Following, but most others not so much. Would Cage make the leap? Not likely.
