2. Charlie Brooker
While perhaps best known as a comedian, Charlie Brooker has a wide variety of experience behind him. His works have appeared in radio, print, television, and online, and shows him demonstrating a range of skills - everything from a presenter to a writer to a humorist. But what is undoubtedly his main qualification for a job on Doctor Who would be his work on Black Mirror, a science fiction anthology series that draws frequent comparisons to The Twilight Zone. Out of the six episodes aired to far, Brooker has written four and co-written a fifth. And just as varied as his own career, the series features humor and drama and elements of a thriller, science fiction, and horror. Say.... humor, drama, science fiction, some elements of thriller and horror... where have I heard that before?
