Doctor Who: 7 Times The Doctors Dressed Up In Drag

7. Jon Pertwee... The Cleaning Lady?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cB6R1JaWL10 Those who continue to complain that the Doctor has never been a woman clearly haven't seen the 1973 serial The Green Death which starred Jon Pertwee as the titular Time Lord. Although the adventure is noted for featuring the last on screen appearance of Katy Manning as the Doctor's full time companion Jo Grant, there's another somewhat... erm, memorable scene in which our beloved hero went to rather extraordinary means in order to infiltrate the mysterious Global Chemicals. He proved once and for all that third is definitely not the one with a hairy chest as he took on the guise of the plant's sour old cleaning lady after his initial attempt to sneak in as a Welsh milkman went down like a lead balloon. And thank God he did, too, because the company's new way of refining oil ultimately resulted in giant maggots taking over Wales, so it was all worth it in the end. Just what he was thinking at the time, though, is still open for debate. Relive the truly bizarre moment in the player above. If you're seeing it for the first time, nothing will be ever the same again...
