6. Peter Capaldi In Prime Suspect
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBUczMqiVRU Everybody already knew that Peter Capaldi was a versatile actor when he took on the mantle as the twelfth incarnation of TV's favourite Time Lord but, despite having a plethora of acclaimed roles on the stage and screen to his name, you still might not have realised just how versatile he was. Until now. Back in 1993 he appeared in the award-winning police procedural Prime Suspect as a transexual called Vera Reynolds. The series, lead by Dame Helen Mirren as the formidable DCI Jane Tennison, was set in the seedy underworld of prostitution but there were also some light hearted moments, too, such as the scene in which Peter performed a drag act dressed as Marilyn Monroe. He wanted to be loved by you, just you, and nobody else... apparently.
Suffice to say, it's something that quite literally has to be seen to be believed and, luckily for you, it's been preserved for your viewing pleasure in the player above. Be warned, though, because you'll never quite look at the Twelfth Doctor in the same way again. Just look at those eyebrows (and other things...) go!
