3. How Long Will Clara Continue To Make Excuses For The Doctor?
In the moment following Saibra's death, Psi argues with the Doctor over his lack of remorse for her fate. Audiences are fully aware of the Doctor's darker ruthless nature by now, but maybe Clara has become too accustomed to it to? She is quick to jump to his defence and Psi is quick to call her out on it. Just how long will she continue to make excuses for Doctor? Clara has no comeback to Psi's question. Perhaps she realises he is right. She has grown to accept this man with a new face and with that his very different personality to the Eleventh. But whereas last week suggested Danny Pink might lead her away from the TARDIS, Psi comment's play another possibility. Will she tire of making excuses for the Doctor? Given her deep connection to all the different Doctor's lives, it will be a tragedy for her to abandon him over his continued actions. But perhaps her conscience will win out, forcing her to leave the TARDIS for good.
