Doctor Who: 8 Classic Monsters That Should Return In Series 9

2. The Yeti

While the Yeti seen in the (partly missing) second Doctor adventures The Abominable Snowmen and The Web of Fear are robotic creations operated by the Great Intelligence, it's entirely likely that these furry fiends could return in an updated or altered state. If the fearsome foes were to make a return in Series 9, they could appear in either their original, robotic form or the showrunners could decide to introduce a different iteration of the mythical monsters. It's more likely that if the Doctor were to come face to face with the Yeti once more, it would be in a grittier and less animatronic fashion - most likely an alien life form that had managed to slowly infiltrate the collective human consciousness to give birth to the obsession with the mystery of the sasquatch. Alternatively, they could make a comeback in their original iterations if the Doctor were to discover that the Great Intelligence didn't die at the end of The Name of the Doctor and has regrouped and found a new host body in which to confront the Doctor once more.
