Doctor Who: 8 Game-Changing Things To Expect From Series 9

1. The Darkest Plots Ever

Giphy10 Gif Because we've never heard that one before. It sounds like it's the real deal this time round, though, as Series 9 looks set to build on the dark undertones that were established throughout Series 8. If you've been following the recent tabloid rumours regarding the two-part opener, you'll know exactly what we're talking about. Needless to say, things are about to get very dark indeed for our beloved hero when he returns to our screens later this year. Plus there's that terrifying two-parter by Toby Whithouse to look forward to, and the fact that Mark Gatiss will be contributing what he's recently described as his "scariest episode yet". Yikes. Is Doctor Who about to be moved even later in the schedules? Probably not, since Ofcom probably aren't equipped to handle such a spontaneous surge of complaints, but the show will be pushing the boundaries of Saturday teatime drama even further than ever before, which is certainly an exciting and "game-changing" prospect. Is it the autumn yet?! What did you think of this list? Are there any other "game-changing" things to look forward to in Series 9?
