Doctor Who: 8 Theories About Ryan And Graham's Departure In Revolution Of The Daleks

3. The Daleks Kill Them...

Doctor Who Ryan and Graham
BBC

The most obvious way for Ryan and Graham to exit is for the Daleks to kill them, and this one doesn't need too much explaining... because it's the Daleks! They kill people. They like to kill people. Especially people who are close to the Doctor.

Based on the setup we see in the trailer, it looks like Ryan, Graham, Yaz, and Jack might be Doctor-less for a good chunk of the episode, so maybe Chibnall is setting up a story where the four companions get too confident, believing they can handle the Daleks without the Doctor's help... only for that confidence to prove fatal?

Again, the fact that this is the obvious conclusion to Ryan and Graham's story might mean that Chibnall shies away from it, but then again, the obvious conclusion for Amy and Rory was for them to get zapped back in time by a Weeping Angel, and that's exactly what happened. It was the way that Steven Moffat executed this obvious conclusion that made it work so well, so if Chibnall can think of a creative Dalek death for Ryan and Graham, then it doesn't really matter if everyone is expecting it.

On the subject of Dalek deaths, there's a related possibility we need to discuss...
