Doctor Who: 8 Things That Must Happen In Series 12

6. Bring Everyone's Memory Back

Okay this is a technicality. But the fact that nobody seems to grasp the concept of a Dalek or any other kind of alien in this latest format is kind of troublesome for the show's continuity.

It makes perfect sense from a narrative standpoint. Chris Chibnall now has free reign over the storytelling and is therefore within his right to wipe the slate clean. But maybe not at the expense of the foundations laid by his predecessors. After all, think of the quantity of flawed Earth invasions which have occurred since 2005. There's been a lot.

The human population has disregarded the existence of aliens in previous instances, due to selective memory, re-written timelines, and other such plot-points. But there seems no apparent reason for Graham, Yaz and Ryan's lack of understanding this time around. The absence of a UNIT presence in Resolution briefly hinted at a possible slip into a parallel universe before we all found out it was due to an administrative downturn.

A bit of closure on this glaring problem would be greatly appreciated by the more attentive Doctor Who viewers, and could be written into the next series quite easily.
