2. Was Clara Always Looking To Die?
Whether it was conscious or not, Clara's willingness to throw herself into danger at every turn was a symptom of her newfound enthusiasm for adventure after the death of Danny Pink. It was incredibly apparent in Face The Raven with Clara gleeful over their last dangerous adventure in the pre-title sequence and then having far too much fun hanging out of the TARDIS over London and nearly falling to her death - something even Rigsy noted to the Doctor. So did Clara have a death wish and did the Doctor sense this, which is why he continuously referred to his duty of care? Clara told Danny he was the last man she would ever love and that was true; after the events of Death In Heaven she has been on one frantic joyride across time and space. Sure it was inevitable it would end this way?
