The Doctor Who panel was one of the big highlights from the opening day of San Diego Comic-Con 2015, with showrunner Steven Moffat and twelfth doctor Peter Capaldi delighting the crowd of Whovians.
Along with Jenna Coleman (Clara) and Michelle Gomez (Missy) they teased and joked their way through discussing the previous series and the upcoming one, touching briefly on topics such as the kiss between The Doctor and Missy: The question is who kissed who and who hung on and just didn't let go, said Gomez.
The question of a female Doctor came up yet again, deflected by Moffatt simply stating that there wasnt a vacancy at present, while Capaldi jokingly offered the slightly-disturbing prospect of him playing the Time-Lord in drag.
The big centrepiece of this was the debut of the new trailer for series 9 of the show, with the confirmation of its start date - September 19 - and a whole lot to get excited about.
As youd expect from something involving Moffat, it didnt give a whole lot away, rather just a number of teasing and tantalising glimpses of what is in store when the show returns.
