Doctor Who: 9 Reasons Peter Capaldi Could Be The Best Doctor Ever

9. Eyebrows

What? All right, so maybe a physical attribute is not the first thing you think about when ranking great Doctors, but think about it. Every Doctor has had one attribute that springs to mind when he€™s mentioned. Bowtie, scarf, suit, leather jacket, celery, the list goes on. One thing that every single one of these traits have in common is that they€™re totally, and utterly, removable. Take the Doctor out of the suit, he€™s still the Doctor but he€™s not quite himself. Originally, for most casual fans, it wasn€™t so much the bow tie but the trademark tweed jacket that sprang to mind when thinking of Matt Smith€™s Doctor. That all changed when he switched to a dark green overcoat which became interchangeable with the tweed before going full Edwardian following the demise of Amy and Rory. That left the bowtie as the one item of attire that the Eleventh Doctor never left home without. But eyebrows. Eyebrows are not interchangeable. Granted they can be plucked, threaded and even shaved but those magnificently, charismatic eyebrows will be an ever constant, no matter what the situation. Again, this may seem like a small thing, but those little traits are what make the Doctor familiar, and the Twelfth Doctor becoming known for something that will be with him no matter what or where he is will always be reassuring. It helps that they're amazing, too.
