One of the hot topics of conversation amongst Doctor Who fans at the moment concerns Gallifery and its currently undiscoverable whereabouts. Since the show's revival we'd been told that the Doctor's home planet had been lost in a catastrophic conflict between the Time Lord and the dreaded Daleks. What's more, our beloved Doctor himself was solely responsible for its untimely destruction. Now that's gotta lay heavy on your conscience! Over the last 8 years fans have been drip fed tantalising teasers and clues about the events of the Time War and last year, as part of the show's 50th anniversary, they were finally taken straight into the heart of the ferocious battle and to the moment of the Doctor's impossible choice. In a last minute change of heart(s), however, it transpired that he never pushed that big red button after all, and that Gallifrey was, in fact, safe and well and hidden away in a time locked pocket universe. And thus began the Doctor's momentous mission to find home. As of Death In Heaven, though, he's no closer to getting there (no thanks to Missy!), though it's practically a given that he'll stumble upon it one day. But will that day come in Series 9? Perhaps the "whopper" cliffhanger in the Series 9 finale will tie in with Gallifrey's anticipated return? Only time will tell, of course, but one thing is for sure - fans will just have to keep 'em peeled... Is it 2015 yet? What do you expect from Doctor Who Series 9? Throw your speculation in the ring below.
