Doctor Who: All 40 Steven Moffat Episodes Ranked From Worst To Best
3. Blink
The seminal Blink is certainly the most beloved and most memorable story of Moffat’s; it regularly tops favourite/greatest ever Doctor Who episode lists. So why hasn't it topped this ranking you may ask? To be honest, you could easily interchange between the top 3 here, and yet again shows how ingenious Moffat truly is in writing episodes on the esteemed level of Blink.
It's also one of the most quotable. You can remember word-for-word the Doctor's message to Sally Sparrow behind the peeling wallpaper at Wester Drumlins. In fact, the name of Scooby-Doo's house is memorable in itself. You can recite the other half of the conversation with the Doctor from the DVD, and his "don't blink" warning. And quite possibly there are those of you reading this wearing a T-shirt with "the angels have the phone box" printed on it.
Whilst the Weeping Angels are the monster discovery of Doctor Who, it's Carey Mulligan who effortlessly steals the show with a virtuoso performance that propelled her onto deserved greater fame and fortune.
Naturally after her star turn, there was talk of Mulligan returning as a full-time companion. However had Blink been broadcast ten years later, then there may of been clamour of her becoming the first female incarnation of the Doctor.
Blink is your classic blossoming romance wrapped inside a peekaboo-to-zap-you're-in-1920's-Hull mystery.
