Doctor Who: All Chris Chibnall Episodes Ranked From Worst To Best

7. Fugitive Of The Judoon

Chris Chibnall Doctor Who
BBC

How bad, good, or great this episode is will not be determined until the conclusion of series 12, or perhaps even longer if the mystery of this new Doctor is not resolved by then. The episode concentrates on the character of Ruth Jordan, a seemingly every day citizen of planet Earth who has a loving, if not entirely trustworthy husband.

All is, of course, not as it seems. Both her husband and herself are soon revealed as beings of alien origin. It soon becomes apparent that they are both in fact from Gallifrey, with the Judoon hired by the Time Lords to bring Ruth in. The real shock comes when it is revealed that Ruth is no ordinary Time Lord, but in fact an incarnation of The Doctor. While definitely a surprise, it is an event that seemingly doesn't fit within Doctor Who lore, so there is an awful lot riding on a decent explanation.

One definite highlight is the return of Captain Jack Harkness, who lights up the screen with his presence, with his mistaking of Graham for The Doctor a real treat. His ominous warning in regards the 'Lone Cyberman' prove exciting, but one can only hope this is no one-off appearance from John Barrowman.

With all the suave and sophistication of any Aussie half way through a slab, Luke will critique every minute detail of films and shows from all eras- unless it's 1990's Simpsons episodes, because they're just perfect
