5. ... And Ace Is Back!
...fellow '80s TARDIS traveller, Ace returns as well!
Ace hails from the opposite end of the '80s era to Tegan, appearing from Dragonfire to Survival, bookending the series as the final companion alongside the Seventh Doctor.
When we last saw Ace, she was walking off into the distance with the Doctor, with the pair of them having "work to do".
As the clip shows, unlike Tegan, Ace is never actually written out of the show, but by the TV Movie she is nowhere to be seen. However, had Season 27 taken place, and as explored in expanded media (such as books and good old Big Finish), we learn Ace is sent off to Gallifrey to become a Time Lord! Although, as this was not on screen, it is unlikely to come up, but we can dream.
Alternatively, after her time on Gallifrey, returned to Earth, Ace sets up A Charitable Earth, something brought up by Sarah Jane in her spin off. It also should be noted, Ace and Thirteenth have met before, in Sophie Aldred's book, At Childhood's End. Again, whether this is brought up or not will be interesting.
We cannot wait to see Ace back on screen, taking a baseball bat to a Dalek or two!
