3. Clara Gives Her Life To Save Rigsy
Of all the people to give her life up to save, Rigsy had to be the one. Her very own companion, he faced certain death as part of an elaborate trap to lure the Doctor in and his death sentence for supposedly murdering the Janus woman was the mystery by which Ashildr did it. And save Rigsy she did, by playing the Doctor one more time and using her own vow of protection from Ashildr to transfer the tattoo to her and buy her and the Doctor more time to solve the mystery. Unfortunately for poor Clara her cleverness got the better for her, and by taking Rigsy's death sentence she faced her own end. Those final scenes with the Doctor were magnificent and Clara was as courageous as ever, using her last words to pull him back from the darkness, to remain the heroic Doctor. Despite knowing that her actions were going to result in her death she continued to be a hero and faced the raven rather than running. Her final mutterings of "Let me be brave" were heartbreaking and Jenna Coleman acted the hell out of that scene to the very end.
