Doctor Who: Every 11th Doctor Episode Ranked Worse To Best

31. Nightmare In Silver

Doctor Who Matt Smith
BBC Studios

Neil Gaiman is a beloved figure in nerd folklore (I mean this is the most affectionate way) so it seemed natural he would pen another episode of Doctor Who after the success of his previous episode for the show, The Doctor's Wife.

Perhaps he was only destined to write something lesser than his first amazing outing for the Doctor. Whatever the reason, however, the episode feels a bit of a mess with several ideas played with but never satisfyingly wrapped up.

The idea of the Doctor being controlled by a Cyberman had potential but Matt Smith's attempt to imitate previous Doctors including a dodgy 'Northern' 9th Doctor accent is laughable. Warwick Davies character also felt a little brushed over with the idea of a ruler who is afraid of being seen publicly due to his short stature having potential but not developed further.

Hopefully, Gaiman will return to leave us on a high note and not leave this disappointing episode in the minds of fans.
