Doctor Who: Every Companion Ranked Worst To Best

13. Yasmin Khan

Doctor Who Companions
BBC

Introduced in the most recent series of Doctor Who, Yasmin is a police officer who first meets a newly-regenerated Doctor shortly after responding to a call from her old schoolmate Ryan regarding an alien pod that he had found. This then leads to an escapade being chased around Sheffield by an alien assassin, which then leads to many more escapades aboard the TARDIS as the Doctor's companion.

Yasmin is easily the most difficult character to discuss in depth at this point, considering that Series 11 did not give much focus to her, instead choosing to focus on the familial relationships of Graham and Ryan. The most attention she is given is in the episode Demons of the Punjab, but even then, the main cast of companions are sidelined in favour of the plot surrounding Yasmin's grandmother in 1940's India.

From what we have seen, Yasmin is intelligent, resourceful and eager to learn from the Doctor whenever she can. An incredibly promising companion, we can only hope that she is given much more attention in the upcoming Series 12.

Cameron Morris hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
